Future Mobility Challenge Rules

By being part of the Future Mobility Challenge, you agree that you have read, understood and are committed to complying with the rules and policies below.
Staff, sponsors, challengers, judges, mentors, moderators, volunteers, organizers and any individual or organization participating in the Future Mobility Challenge are expected to comply with the outlined policies.
GENERAL RULES
Participants are expected to conduct themselves in a kind, thoughtful and polite manner.
There will be NO TOLERANCE for:

Any discussion, speech, posts, memes, pictures or conduct which are considered offensive.

Behaviour, which is considered to be harassing, bullying, threatening, violent or aggressive.

Discussion of topics which are considered "Not Safe for Work"

"Doxing" or the posting of private, personal information about any user.

Users should not:

Advertise other events, products or services in community spaces.

Contact other participants directly with any solicitation or to request personal information.
-
Spam community spaces excessively with messages, images, links or emotes.
COMPETITIVE INTEGRITY
Any and all submissions for prizes are expected to comprise ONLY of original work produced by the submitting participant and their team. In the case of challenge submissions, this work is expected to have been completed WHOLLY within the timeframe in which the event has taken place.
Participants MAY NOT submit:

Work completed for another event that is not taking place simultaneously with the Future Mobility Challenge.

Plagiarized work found on websites, books, social media or other outside sources, including CHAT-GPT or any other AI-generated sources.

This EXCLUDES work which has been sufficiently remixed, remade, or transformed (i.e. graphics made by participants in Canva, code snippets taken from StackOverflow, etc, may be allowed so long as they are not ripped without edit from the source).

Work completed by a third party who is not currently registered in the competition and / or is not part of the participants team.
HARASSMENT OF ANY KIND WILL NOT BE TOLERATED
Future Mobility Challenge defines harassment as:

Offensive verbal or written comments related to gender, age, sexual orientation, disability, physical appearance, body size, race, religion, social class, economic status, veteran status

Sharing offensive images, deliberate intimidation, stalking, following, brigading, doxxing, harassing photography or recording, sustained disruption of talks or other events, inappropriate physical contact, and unwelcome attention.

As well as any conduct, contact or interaction which makes one or more parties feel uncomfortable.
Once made aware that some conduct falls under this policy, participants are expected to cease the behaviour immediately.
REPORTING
Any individual may report conduct they believe to be in violation of these policies to any moderator, mentor, staff or organizer. The informed team member has an obligation to enforce these rules directly, or to inform another staff member with the authority to do so (depending on the severity of the claim).
Violations can be brought to the attention of the Mackenzie Habash privately and securely over email at any time (mhabash@investwindsoressex.com)
IN THE EVENT OF A VIOLATION
Participants who do not abide by these rules may be subject to any or all of the following:

Removal from community spaces / activities / events

Disqualification from competitive events

Being striped of titles, prizes, roles and / or responsibilities

Limited identifying information about the involved party (name, email address, DevPost account) being passed to third party organizations planning similar events
In addition, event staff, moderators and organizers may take any action against the participant that they deem necessary to ensure the safety of the community.
Any team or group formed or operating in the Future Mobility Challenge community found to violate these rules may also be subjected to the above if it is determined that their conduct encouraged, facilitated or was in some way connected to the violation.
These actions may be taken immediately and without warning
